Educational Support

Get to know me better

I’m a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher with a Master’s degree in Childhood Behavioral Issues, along with various certifications in special education. I started working as an au pair over 10 years ago, and it was in England where I met a very special autistic girl.

That encounter inspired me to study early childhood education. I was good at it, I enjoyed it, and it allowed me to travel—so I kept going. I continued working as a nanny across England, France, and Spain, supporting more than seven families.

Over time, I found myself especially drawn to working with children with special educational needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Still, I genuinely enjoy discovering what makes each child unique—regardless of whether they are neurotypical or not.

I discovered that I truly enjoy building close, trusting relationships with families—becoming a reliable presence in their daily lives. At the same time, I really value being able to bring my professional expertise into their routines at home.

Today, I work as a teacher and caregiver at an early childhood special education center. While I’m happy in my current role, I also believe the experience and knowledge I’ve gained over the years could be helpful to many more families.

That’s why I created this website—to reach out and connect with you.

With over ten years of experience, I’ve worked with children of all kinds—from the most curious to those who need a little extra support.

What sets me apart is my approach: I’m not just a nanny, I’m a partner in each child’s development and well-being.

FAQ

What is specialized childcare?

Every child is different, and so is my approach—always focused on supporting their growth and emotional well-being.
Whether it’s a routine, a behavior, a negative emotion that needs to be addressed, or a specific need to be developed or adjusted, the goal is to help the child gradually regulate and manage himself/herself.

I can help with:

1. Strategies for Managing Challenging Behaviors
-Guidance on handling challenging behaviors like tantrums, negativity, and aggression.

-Positive discipline techniques: setting respectful and effective boundaries.

-Developing routines and clear rules to promote good behavior.

2. Emotional Development and Regulation
-Support to help children manage emotions like frustration, anxiety, and anger.

-Fostering emotional intelligence from an early age: teaching children to recognize and express their emotions appropriately.

3. Family Routine Support
-Daily routine advice: how to structure the day to create a stable and secure environment for the child.

-Balancing flexibility and structure: adapting to the child’s needs while maintaining family consistency.

4. Inclusive Education Support
-Guidance on working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism and ADHD.

-Strategies for personalized learning: adapting methods to the child's characteristics and needs, promoting social and educational inclusion.

5. Promoting Independence and Life Skills
-Encouraging independence: helping children develop autonomy in daily tasks (e.g., dressing, tidying, eating independently).

-Fostering responsibility: teaching children to take on age-appropriate responsibilities.

6. Family Emotional Education Support
-Parent training on managing family conflicts: resolving disagreements and tensions peacefully at home.

-Managing parental expectations: balancing parenting with personal and family expectations.

7. Behavior Prevention and Preventive Strategies
-Preventive techniques: anticipating and preventing problem behaviors through the environment and activities.

-Strengthening effective communication between parents and children to avoid misunderstandings and frustrations.

8. Managing Childhood Anxiety
-Relaxation and mindfulness techniques for children: helping children reduce stress and anxiety through fun and practical activities.

-Interventions for children with fears or phobias: gradual coping strategies and emotional support.

9. Cognitive and Social Stimulation
-Educational activities to enhance cognitive development: games, stories, and exercises to improve cognitive skills.

-Promoting social and play skills: teaching children how to interact with peers, share, collaborate, and resolve conflicts.

10. School Transition Support
-Guidance on adapting to new educational environments: helping children transition to school or a new academic cycle.

-Strategies for children with adjustment difficulties: emotional and educational support to ease transitions.

Do you offer guidance for parents?

I offer support with children’s routines and emotional regulation, helping make parenting a more positive and manageable experience. Whether it’s a routine, a behavior or the need to modify that needs to be developed or adjusted, the approach is always personalized.

The goal is to make it as natural and sustainable as possible—something the child and their family can truly integrate into their everyday lives.

I usually work with routines, setting boundaries, or creating activity programs—always keeping in mind that they should be as practical and manageable as possible.

The focus is on making sure these methods are the least stressful for both, the children and the parents. Avoiding anything that feels overwhelming, complicated, or difficult to maintain.

What experience do I have?

I have over ten years of experience working with children and families from a wide range of backgrounds.

What are SEN (Special Educational Needs)?

SEN refers to children who need personalized support in their learning and development due to different challenges, such as autism, ADHD, or behavioral and emotional difficulties. These may include developmental delays, learning difficulties, developmental challenges, or other special needs..

Common ways to adapt an educational program

Unique methods are created based on each child’s individual characteristics.
Whether it’s a skill, a tool, a routine, or a behavior that needs to be developed or adjusted, the approach is always personalized.
